jack and greg, with the help of sporting club associates carson, sam, mags and dave butters, are on day two of their two day shoot of the longwave music video, sirens in the deep sea. brian just bought a 1972 honda xl250 for 300 bucks on craigslist, which may well be the most exciting club news to date. mike is busy hating low budget spec commercials... but graffiti is always fun. joe and matt continue to do real work for their real careers.

the sporting club shed some tears this past week as we lost our favorite honorary member - brandon schantz - to cancer. he is survived by his fiancce christin, parents sean and kim, brother ryan and sister kaylee and countless good friends. we’ll miss you brandon - if we could beat cancer up we would. service is tomorrow in san ramon.

greg and aron's white men in seminole flats is in its second week of residency at atom films distribution site for shorter fare. it is being streamed in two sections -- chapter 1 & chapter 2 -- check it out. greg also completed three different promos he was doing for sound management's chantelle paige. brian and greg will soon be shooting deer in upstate new york, with guns, not cameras. keep your safeties on, men.

brian just finished directing a couple rooney music videos, now he is going to sleep for a week. jack is editing one of them, so now he probably won't sleep for a couple weeks. mike was the art director for both videos, he doesn't believe in sleep. and joe is having a baby today, well his wife is, neither of them will be sleeping for quite some time, maybe ever. good job joe.

joe has returned from indonesia where he was filming a surf film, welcome back joe. mike remains in philedelphia working on a feature. jack and greg are editing their piece on the whigs' recording sessions, and brian is editing his new angie mattson video.

the final edit and transfer of the rooney at the roxy show is completed, so we're considering that one done and in the books. the sporting club continues to gather footage of the whigs in the recording studio, and has started production of an angie mattson video - initial photography took form over the weekend in a seedy motel up on sunset blvd... angie's a good sport. jack has started his edit of a new laura bryna video. mike is off to philidelphia to art direct a feature film for the next couple months. fond farewell mike, enjoy the cheesesteak.

tonight, the sporting club will be shooting a live performance of rooney at the roxy. it will be a five camera, high definition adventure intended for use by directv 101. later this week, the club will also be shooting a 'mini doc' of sorts for the whigs as they record their second album here in los angeles.

yesterday, the sporting club shot a video for a good group of guys known as all time low. everyone earned their street-cred with the video being shot down in south central l.a. the club is also prepping some high end spec commercials to be shot this friday.

it's official, brian's spot won the cinevegas vegas.com commercial contest. brian has been awarded a cash prize (drinks on brian) and will get to direct a future vegas.com commercial. again, good job brian. young chris is dating a nineteen-year-old vixen, so he's doing pretty well for himself too.

the dijon video, a kid's point of view, is offically finished, soon to be up and posted to the site. brian shot a spot for the cinevegas vegas.com commercial contest which will be up soon as well. also at cinevegas, a film in which mike production managed, the living wake, has been selected as a jackpot world premiere and will be screen at the brenden theatres at the palms casino friday june 8. jack is editing the new jennifer hanson video, joyride, which marks the sporting club's first plunge into the country music scene. yee-haw.

mike just finished a production design job for the dresden dolls' new video, starring margaret cho and a bunch of other sassy ladies. joe's back from montana with exciting footage involving large farmers and small, fuel-efficient, japanese pick-up trucks. we have also posted a couple additions to the sporting club commercial page for your viewing enjoyment.

the club is recovering from a long video shoot for a young man named dijon, which was shot up in bel-air yesterday in association with brandon schantz productions. the sporting club continues to work with bsp, compiling footage of live performances, video shoots, recording sessions, etc. for the band rooney. joe leaves today for his fifth trip up to montana to shoot the final pieces of his documentary, next year country, which now has an updated teaser. other additions to the site have also been made, so feel free to look around.

brian and joe are back from south carolina where they shot second unit on a nikon commercial. the club is shooting some behind the scene footage for the band la rocca tomorrow evening; the boys are currently in studio recording their next album.
